These abstract pieces immerse us in mysterious compositions. Sometimes on the border of an aquatic world in a kaleidoscope colors, sometimes at the core of color itself. These pieces grab the eye, they are mesmerizing, they beg the viewer to travel with color, between color. Thierry Alet offers several ways of inhabiting what has been popularized by a children’s toy, then Damien Hirst as “spin painting”. This technique begins with a device constructed with a fan, a drill, sometime a bicycle mechanism. the canvas/ paper/ panel is placed in the device, paint is applied and and then spun. Then starts the dialogue between the artist, the device and his self-prescribed challenge of managing color, speed of rotation, fluidity of the paint, number of coats and chance it self. The artworks, the “images”, are to a certain extent, evidence of the moment of this collision, the meeting of chance, innovation and agency. Each artist achieves unique results, unique compositions and unique impact. A real whirlwind that begins in the mind of the artist.

Cette technique commence par un appareil construit avec un ventilateur, une perceuse, parfois un mécanisme de bicyclette. la toile/le papier/le panneau est placé dans l'appareil, la peinture est appliquée puis lancé en rotation. Commence alors le dialogue entre l'artiste, le dispositif et son défi autoproclamé de gestion de la couleur, de la vitesse de rotation, de la fluidité de la peinture, du nombre de couches et du hasard lui-même. Les œuvres, les « images », sont en quelque sorte le résultat de cette collision. Chaque artiste obtient des résultats uniques, des compositions uniques et un impact unique.
