MANUSCRIPTS
This series of paintings is part of a series started in the nineties. I have painted on canvases with a brush like I did in this series. I have also made manuscript paintings where I engraved the letters onto the fresh paint creating a bas-relief effect. It can be compared to engraving in metal.
I have been conflicted with the meaning of the work for the longest time. In fat I had a deep feeling about what it meant without being able to express it properly. I knew it had to do with the meaning of writing beyond what is written. I am now confident that the act of writing is to be seen a a mean of communication in itself. The letters, the order of words, the handwriting, the placement, the environment and so many accessories that surround and unable its existence speak to us and we must listen.
It is an under current that we hear out of a dream that repeat itself without ever getting completely caught.
